Seville with its majestic architecture and rich history is an ideal destination for multicultural weddings. The vibrant traditions of an Indian wedding blend perfectly with the festive spirit and charm of Andalusia.
M&A’s destination wedding was a beautiful fusion of cultural traditions, a celebration full of details in a destination as emblematic as southern Spain.
4 days of events, each one in different and unique venues.
MEHNDI & JAGGO
For the first day of Mehndi in the morning and Jaggo in the evening, the couple chose a cortijo on the outskirts of Seville.
A venue where the essence of Andalusia could be breathed in every corner: cobbled courtyards, Andalusian style arches and beautiful gardens were the perfect setting for these colorful celebrations so important for Indian culture.
The Mehndi ritual with the application of henna on the hands and feet of the bride and other guests was celebrated in the garden, among big sofas, flowers and good food.
In the evening we transformed some spaces of the cortijo to start a big party: the Jaggo.
This event symbolizes the joy and family togetherness before the wedding. And between dhol dances and Punjabi songs, the bride and groom and their guests enjoyed a beautiful night under the sky of Seville.
VATNA & CHOORA
For the second day’s events, the Vatna and Choora, we chose a terrace overlooking the city.
Vatna, was a more relaxed event but full of symbolism, in which turmeric is applied to the couple as a symbol of purification and beauty.
ANAND KARAJ CEREMONY
The third day, the most important of all, was held in an emblematic venue in the center of Seville.
For the Anand Karaj we turned the space into a sacred place to honor the Sikh tradition.
The day started with a first look at the Plaza de España. A very intimate moment and in such a spectacular space in Seville.
The bride wore a stunning ivory lehenga.
We continued with the Baraat, the arrival of the groom with horses to the venue of the ceremony and accompanied by friends and family.
For the decoration of the ceremony, the couple chose a palette of bright and vibrant colors: fuchsia, pink, red and different shades of green.
In the evening, the bride and groom and their guests enjoyed a pizza party and a flamenco show.
THE RECEPTION
The big party was reserved for the last day.
In one of the most beautiful haciendas in Seville, between dances, good food and a spectacular decoration, the bride and groom and their guests celebrated their love.
The decoration was in red and burgundy tones in an elegant style with a rustic touch that blends perfectly with the style of the Hacienda.
For this last event the couple wanted to pay tribute to the Mediterranean gastronomy with Spanish, Italian and Greek food stands, without leaving aside their origins with an Indian food corner.
The magic of Seville, with its historic charm, served as the perfect backdrop to intertwine the rich traditions of Indian culture with the unique details of southern Spain.
M&A’s destination wedding shows that traditions can not only be preserved, but also enriched in a new environment, creating moments that transcend time and cultures.
