THE “MASSERIA”

Masseria, ancient rural estates, are set among vast centuries-old olive trees and rolling wheat fields. Many of these buildings, some with centuries of history, have been carefully restored to combine their rustic charm with contemporary luxury. Located in the heart of Puglia, they immerse you in the tranquility of the Italian countryside, far from the bustle of the cities, offering an exclusive retreat for an intimate and magical celebration.

The masseria chosen by A&D for their wedding, in particular, was a stately residence since the late 17th century. Today, it offers not only accommodations but also unique spaces to celebrate the big day, along with gastronomy that enhances the taste of authentic flavors through genuine ingredients and organic products, produced in their own farm and local agri-food companies.

THE CEREMONY

The ceremony took place in front of the majestic façade of the masseria, and the couple’s entrance was accompanied by a Zaffa group, typical Arab music using traditional instruments such as the Darbouka and Mazhar.

THE RECEPTION AND DECORATION

A wedding in Puglia wouldn’t be complete without a taste of the region’s local food, such as the panzerotti that were prepared on the spot under the watchful eyes of the guests.

The decoration was a tribute to local architecture. Elements like “pietra leccese” (Lecce stone) decorated the long imperial tables distributed in one of the masseria’s courtyards, and together with other elements like fruits, flowers, candles, and sand, created a romantic and elegant atmosphere.

The custom stationery gave an Arab touch thanks to its design with arabesque motifs and colors like gold and purple, that combined perfectly with the rest of the decoration.
