A destination wedding in Granada: a journey between cultures, poetry and history
The afternoon says: “I’m thirsty for shadow!”
And the moon: “I want stars.”
The crystal fountain asks for lips,
the wind, for sighs.
The verses of Federico García Lorca flood the Casa Grande de Zujaira, a historic building in a small village in the province of Granada.
History, poetry and art, surround this romantic place that was the setting chosen by J&J for their destination wedding in Granada. The bride of Spanish and Mexican oirigins and the groom of Cuban origin celebrated their love in this magical place.
The bride in a typical Mexican dress hand embroidered, completed her look with an amazing tiara.
The groom in a light-toned suit, seemed pulled from one of those streets of old Havana.
And here in a small village in the province of Granada, on a crazy day in September, they sealed their love in front of family and friends.
Yes, a crazy day…Because suddenly the sun wanted to make way for the rain, just a few moments before the ceremony began. But this didn’t stop this big day from going to be celebrated on a large scale.
And with a little patience, we waited for the sun to appear again among the clouds allowing to celebrate a very emotional ceremony in the romantic gardens of the house.
Alejandra Romero Floral Studio decorated with many flowers the stairs leading to the altar. While the courtyard was the area of choice for dinner, where long tables were decorated with flowers in maroon, light pink and cream colors, alternating with fruits and candles that created a warm and romantic atmosphere.
The cake, like the entire catering service, were provided by Velvet Marbella catering, who prepared for the occasion, a naked cake decorated with natural flowers by the florist Alejandra Romero.
Emotional words, dances and laughter, resonated in that place that so many stories could tell us, but that now, can add one more love story to its long repertoire.
It was definitely a very special wedding, for the venue, for the atmosphere that each professional created thanks to their impeccable work, for the guests…But especially it was so special for the complicity of the bride and groom, that they shared their looks, their smiles and their love, among them and also with others…
They both created the magic.
